Scalable Multiple NameNodes Hadoop Cloud Storage System

To solve the problem that the total number of files in HDFS is limited by the memory size of the NameNode, the paper proposed a scalable multiple NameNodes coexisting scheme for cloud storage. NameNode location service (NLS) was introduced into the system. NLS communicated with all NameNodes and was responsible for the file location requests from the clients.
